New England Contra Dancing for the entire community.
Dances are usually held on the first Saturday of the month.
This season, dancing at a new time: 7pm to 10pm!
Dances are held at the Church of Christ Uniting in Kingston
(directions below).
You can download and print yourself a copy of our
current flyer.
A pot-luck dinner for dancers begins at 6pm. Please bring
a dish to pass.
Newcomers and people of all ages, with or without a partner,
are welcome and can learn the steps the first night.
A short introduction to contra dancing starts at 6:45pm.
Contra dancing can be done with a walking step, so that even
dancers who are not confident can be easily included. The dancing
is energetic and involves mixing with the other dancers as each
couple performs a short routine with another couple before
progressing to the next couple and repeating the sequence
(the progression).
Childcare needed? Please contact us a week in advance, and
we may be able to arrange childcare. Contact us at the

Need some Hospitality? If you are coming from out of town,
we have some dancers who may be able to host you overnight.

Admission is $9 for adults, $4 for children, and $25 for families.

PA-309, about 4.5 miles north to exit 4.
Merge left onto Rutter Avenue.
At 2nd right, turn onto East Bennett Street.
After one long block (about 0.3 miles), turn left onto Wyoming Avenue.
Continue on Wyoming (US-11), about 1.1 miles.
Turn right onto Market Street, church is on the left.
Parking on street, or in Church lot (entrance on Market, 1 house past church)(alternate entrance: pass church, turn left on Maple, watch for lot).
Entrance to hall is from the parking lot!
